Collaborations is just another way of saying I took part in creative projects with a variety of artists, to record one or more tracks, like for Alan Simon’s Gaia concept album with legendary musicians Billy Preston and Roger Hodgson, or spent an evening jamming in a rock and roll club in Texas… not forgetting other memorable moments I experienced playing with the Gnawa’s trances in Morocco, exploring the melodies and chants of the Mongolian Shamans, the Caribbean rhythms with Rita Marley or Edith Lefel, the rich melodic atmospheres with Chinese artists such as Guo Chan, Cheng Lin and even Cui Jian the original Chinese rock and roller. They have all been part of my life, some longer than others, as is the case with Jean-Michel Jarre, one of the most innovative artists who, for the past 20 years, has given me a unique opportunity to share unforgettable stages, countries and landmarks that few people get to be in and see.
