Composing for music libraries can be very gratifying. Things have changed quite a bit since I first started writing tracks for this media. In order to respond to the increasing demand for music in modern medias, some specialised music agencies and all the major companies have developed their own Production Music department with online access to their search engines and audio excerpts. Clients can easily find tracks for their trailers, commercials, TV series etc... All they need is a connection to the Internet. But for composers attempting to break into the production market, the competition is fierce. Even oscarised Harry Gregson Williams has created his own production music label!
